Advances in data and communications technology created opportunities to standardize the software applications and systems designed to serve tracks and to deploy programs that would help tracks optimize the use of new technologies as they adapted their operations to changing business practices.

InCompass was formed to turn these opportunities into reality through a complete re-engineering of the portfolio of solutions around a centralized database architecture, thereby maximizing economic and operational efficiencies for tracks. About InCompass

Craig Peterson began his career hand publishing a Los Alamitos Quarter Horse trainer analysis, and has worked with computer statistics pioneer James Selvidge, author of "Hold Your Horses." Mr. Peterson's appreciation for statistics lead him to a 30-year association with Rick Baedeker, later to become the only non-family member to produce "The Baedeker Guide," a highly regarded handicapping guide. In his career, he has worked as Publicity Director at Los Alamitos, Turf Writer for Santa Anita and Hollywood Park, Public Handicapper for the Pomona Progress Bulletin, Public Handicapper for the Pasadena Star News, Program Handicapper for Hollywood Park, and for the last ten years as Program Director for Hollywood Park.

Craig continues to look for new ways to help people understand handicapping and winning at the races, creating the only icon based handicapping system in the racing industry: "Pace Pals."
